Hey friends, welcome back. Now, this is a normal switch port, and it has some sockets and these sockets are controlled by these switches. Now this thing in my hand is a smart socket. This thing can be controlled with a smartphone from any part of the world. So now I will connect this to this normal which means. Now it’s connected to our switchboard. Now you can on and off this socket with this smartphone from any part of the world. I will demonstrate you how this works. So first I will connect this boat to the socket. So while it is connected to this socket. Now here is the app. Now you can see a button in the center. When you press this button, the light turns on. And when you again press this button it will turn it off. So I will show you. You can see the light is turned on. When I again press it. The light is turned off. Similarly you can turn on and off without this app also you can press the button on the top over here, and it will turn on. And when you press it again, it will turn it off. You can even get the feedback on the apps from anywhere around the world.

 

When I press the button. The light is done on and you can even see the light is turned on on your mobile app. And I press it again. It’s turned off, and here also you can see it is turned off. So this is a feedback system from this socket. Now you can also set a timer on this socket means the bulk will turn on for a specific period of time, and it will also turn off automatically. So watch this video till can and I will show you how to make this smart socket. So let’s get started. So to make this project you we need any ESP 266 board, you can even use node MCU board. I’m using this D one Mini, then you will need a relay module, then this is a 220 volts to five volts DC circuit, even you can use the charging circuit, then led. This is a tactile push button. And this is AC plug. This is AC socket, which are used on switch boards. And this is an board to make the body, and some wires. So first we will create that you will need to download this blink application.

 

Open it, create a new project. Now give your project a name, I am giving smart socket Now select the board. Select  board, and click on Create. Now click on Add button, and I’m going to add a style button. Now click on pin and we’ll select virtual pin. Click on switch. And you can give the name of your switch. And you can also change the color of this dial button, even you can change the shape, according to preference. And just align your button, and you’re ready to go. First we will connect this ESP 266 board to pin, and we’ll program it. So first you open the core. And these are the pins on which we are connected all the components relay, and you can see the LED green LED and a button. So first we will add the authentication code, which is sent to us by the blink, just copy and paste it over here. Then we’ll enter the Wi Fi name. And we’ll enter the Wi Fi password. That’s it. You can check those code, if you want, then we’ll select the board, you can select your ESP 260.I’m using the D one mini I will select it, and we’ll select the port. And now we will upload. This is a circuit diagram, outdoor project, you can see the ESP two six x four, and all the components are connected to the relay is connected, then you can see the button is connected. And you can also see that led is connected to D five extra views, a 220 volt AC to five volt DC converter. Now we have used this to power our ESP 2664, or five volt DC current. So it will power ESP 266 volts.

 

You can see the wires are connected to five volts and ground pain of our AC six volts. So these are the five volt disconnects. And this thing will power all the components. Next we have is the 220 volt AC plug and a 220 volt AC socket. Now this socket is connected to relay, and relay is acting as a switch. When relay is turned on, closes the complete circuit, and the socket is powered on. And these 220 volt AC, go to your switchboard and it will give power to our AC to DC converter, and also the socket connection. So I will start connecting our components to the circuit. So vise jam soldering these three wires to our live label, so we can connect it to our ESP 266 both after soldering iron stick, ESP two six volt on the top of this relay. Now we’ll solder these wires to our ESP two six Explorer. I’m using the sand board as for all our components, so I can take all the components over it. I sold a five volt and ground machine from all the components to our ESP 266 volt. And I’ve heard load eight. So, the connection will be secure.

 

I also sold a piece and push button. Now I O card disabled, according to the size of our socket and the plug and few more one more pitch to make the complete body of. And this is how I will be connecting pieces of soundboard all together, and we will make a box out of it. I O stick these two layers with hot glue. I will connect this thread in green power LED and connected with ESP 266 more. So now you can see it was a box is almost ready. You can fly more hot blue, so it will be secure and finalizing, I will connect the pieces of sun. We will be adding our push button. So you can remove this wire from inside and connect it to a patient. Now, our smart socket box is completely ready to work. So let’s try it. So I’m using this extension board to power our smart socket so as you can see a red LED is turned on, it means the smart socket has got the power to this smart socket. So now opened up, and you can use the button on the app to control the boat to on and off. Even you can use the physical button or the socket to turn on and off, and you will get the fit on the app. And this thing will read around the world.

 

As you can see when I press the push button on my app turns green, it means it’s turned off. And when I press it back. It’s even you can see a green LED turns on when we turn on the device on the smart socket. You can set timer for yourself, okay. Open the app. Click on Add button and select timer. Now open the timer settings to give a name and select the pin. The pin will be same that is virtual 12. Now you can set the order. You can set the uptime of your smart target. So I will turn on for 30 seconds for the first time. Yes. And you can click on. As you can see when it’s 926,the button, typically turned on. Now I fast forwarded the video, and it automatically turned off when it reached 30 seconds.
